Technician Spotlight - Tory Francis
We caught up with Tory Francis, a loyal Bio Sculpture lover who has just given birth to a beauitful baby girl. We learnt how she switches between manicures and being a mum!
When did you first train with Bio?
I was first introduced to Bio Sculpture in 2006. I was working in central London at a salon where they used it. Soon after, I was sent on a training conversion course to use the product and I’ve been hooked ever since.
What is your favourite colour?
There are so many to choose from. I love all the orange and neon tones, but my favourite has to be No.74 Real Red. It’s a gorgeous blue based red. I wore this on my wedding day. It brings back so many memories every time I paint it.
What do you love about Bio?
The best bit about Bio is that it drys instantly under LED light. I’m such a smudger!
I’ve been a nail tech for years now and used many products but I feel Bio is the best quality product for me and my clients. It’s also not tested on animals which I love, and that it gives you that long lasting, well groomed look which is low maintenance.
You recently become a mum. How do you juggle nails and mum life?
I’m loving every second of being a mummy and don’t want to miss a minute with my daughter. So I try and book my clients in during nap times, the evenings and weekends.
My clients have been fantastic. So supportive, loyal and loving.
What advice would you give a mum wanting to change her career and become a manicurist?
Follow your dreams. I did. If you have a passion for nails, make sure you get well educated and train with good professional products. Practice hard. Remember, you are a mumma. You got this. Who said you can’t have it all?
