1) Look after your brushes!

Don't want to replace your nail brushes every six months? Make sure you clean them regularly and keep them far away from your curing unit. Many nail techs find that their nail brushes start to go stiff and inflexible, making it harder to apply gel. This is often the case when residual gel has cured in between the bristles. Clean them regularly, keep the lid on when not in use, and use this hot water trick when they start looking a little rough. You'll save money and avoid product wastage.

 

2) Charge for cancellations

Now, we know this one can be controversial. Accidents happen and sometimes last minute cancellations just cannot be avoided. However, by putting a cancellation policy in place and protecting yourself, you will encourage your clients to respect your time and try their best to attend appointments if possible. Your time is valuable, so don't sell yourself short!

 

3) Use the right amount of product
