Our second spotlight is Johanna Davison owner of Highly Polished Nails (Mobile Technician).
Why did you decide to start a career in nails?
I wanted a change of career that would fit with my lifestyle and enjoyed having my own nails done so thought that would be ideal.
What made you choose Bio Sculpture?
Bio Sculpture is the best and I wanted the highest quality products.
Why does a career as a manicurist suit you more than your previous career?
I used to work for Yellow Pages it was highly targeted and I was away from home a lot. Now as a Bio Sculpture nail technician I am home every evening, I love my job and my customers are always pleased to see me.
What is your favourite Bio Sculpture colour?
My favourite colour at the moment is from the new collection No.221 - Party Popper
What are your top three tips for someone wanting to make a career change and become a manicurist?
Enjoy what you do
Customers always come first
Keep learning and progressing
How many hours a week do you work?
I usually work a 40 hour week but the two weeks before Christmas it will be more like 60.
How do you find your clients?
Most of my new clients come from recommendations.
