Bio Sculpture Technician Spotlight - Helen Oliver
Introducing Helen Oliver of Bespoke Beauty, our Technician Spotlight for March
Why did you decide to start a career in nails?
I decided to start a career in nails because I have a flair for creativity, an eye for detail and love working with people.
What made you choose Bio Sculpture?
I chose Bio Sculpture as I appreciate the holistic approach to nail care. It is the only company that I could find that looks after the natural nail. I love the array of colours to choose from.
Why does a career as a manicurist suit you more than your previous career?
I have always been into beauty and started off my career in a beauty salon. My preferred treatment is nails. I wanted to take my career to another level and become a self - employed mobile beauty therapist/nail technician. Although I still cover all aspects of beauty my specialised treatment is Bio Sculpture nails.
This suits me more as I get to enjoy using my creative flair every day and being mobile gives me the flexibility to work around my family.
What is your favourite Bio Sculpture colour?
I love all of the many Bio Sculpture colours, especially Beauty Of Perfection for the winter and Fruity Tooty for the summer. I have just received the new Dreamers Collection and I can’t wait to try them out. Especially looking forward to seeing how Snowflake Frosting looks as I have never seen a colour like it.
What are your top three tips for someone wanting to make a career change and become a manicurist?
I have recently encouraged my friend to train in Bio Sculpture and my three top tips for her were:
How many hours a week do you work?
I work around 35 hours a week.
How do you find your clients?
All my clients are word of mouth although recently I have started to use social media to show off my work and I am hoping to build on this in the future.
